I looked but didn't see...My heart unfettered wandered
Where I knew it should not go
A siren voice was calling
My mind just lost control

I knew the hidden dangers
But want brushed them aside
To feel the gentle touch of love
My heart from risk did hide

Now the price we're paying
Two hearts side by side
Some things just can't be
The gulf to far and wide

I have no glib excuses

Denied a certain destiny
For the magic of a dream

A Place in Wonderland 'Wonderland exists'

She stared at the words scribbled onto the page, her mouth pursed in concentration. Her pencil gently tapped her lower lip as she rolled the words through her head again and again. Then she decided, and with but a single second's hesitation she erased the words and flipped her pencil to start anew.

'There is a place beyond the logical world that we all know and see every day. It is a place where dreams spring to life and animals talk readily back to you as if you have just walked into a fable. It is a place where fears are strong and horrors can still happen and blood can still be split. But it is also a place of joy,

The key to a heartThere's a lot of things I thought I knew
but I was wrong about one or two
like all these people in my head
are distorted reflections
or themselves undead

you're evil, disgusting
and you make me sick
thinking with you're wallets, pussies and dicks
I never thought the human race
would prove this most vile disturbing disgrace

I though you were good, I thought you were mine
an iron hoax turned brittle by time
so I was wrong
woop-dee-doo
must have fooled myself into knowing you

I should have known by this point in life
that the key to a heart is always a knife

The Truth to DenialIs there a chance for us? I see us fading fast.
Our conversations are becoming less and our pictures are disappearing into dust.
If this is the last night tell me it isn't so...
Tell me it's not true

I can feel the air becoming cold and
I know we may not make it through the night

They share happiness and love. We share the same.

The working units we are create mixed feelings. My mind spins, racing to find your

sanctuary.

The land that is yours and mine is divided now. I can no longer step one foot onto yours.

For it would make me cry again.

That voice in my head telling me to try has turned off. I no longer can see you. Why

should I try?

However, my heart tells me different. It aches for your presence. Therefore, I step on

the frozen ground in December.

Tears start to fall. I knew this would happen, and so did that voice. As on cue sn

Days change.Some days, they
Make me shiver,
Like i'm watching sea foam crash against the rocks,
On a cool October morning.
(right before you died)

Others make me smile,
Like the first flake of snow,
Landing on my nose,
On a dull January afternoon.
(like the first time you kissed me)

Sometimes, it's a distant sigh,
Reminding me, of
wind whistling by,
carrying me in September sun.
(like the days that lazily passed us by)

But mostly,
They make me look to the sky,
And remember, we're all born to die.

(But that doesn't mean I don't have a whole lot of living left to do yet)

A Better FutureIt was long ago when things started to fall apart
The world was in a theater and we were in the stage
We acted in front of the painted backgrounds and read our lines
It was a disaster and even critics didn't find it amuzing

It was long ago when the teachings where forced on the young
Brain washing and not accepting what is ture for them
Like the local Christian boy forced to learn about a world of no God
Like the Atheist boy forced to learn about a world with a God

It was long ago when we couldn't get a long
Wars always broke out and peace was usually unsettled
Peace succedded for a little while but chaos came back

Welcome to the Real WorldYou could only have assumed that they were related, but there was no way of telling for sure. They looked nothing alike and with a thirty year age difference, it was unlikely to presume that they were merely friends. One, the clear older, had thin hair, that had once been dyed blond, but now had traces of mousey brown and grey streaking from the roots. She had large blue grey eyes framed with long translucent lashes. She had a square jaw and thin pale lips, delicate fingers resting on the edge of the table. The other, likely a daughter, had obviously inherited most of her looks from another set of genes. She was looked older than she appeared

Was it a dreamWas it a dream?
It must have been
And yet? No, I am sure

Perfection PromptPerfection

It's a word,
an ideal,
a hope,
a wish.

We want it,
strive for it,
live for it,
die for it.

They say it's impossible,
nothing can be "perfect",
nothing is without a flaw,
nothing is utopian.

But look around,
look at the earth,
look at the sky,
look at what lives.

What word can describe the splendid,
the faultless,
the pure,
the immaculate?

Nature has reached perfection,
everything fits,
everything functions,
everything flourishes.

How do they say,
"Nothing is perfect",
when they stand below the sky,
when they stand atop the Earth?

I have ADHDI dont take pills
I say i am fine
But my mind is wandering
and i cant seem to sit still

Feel the need to run

with my impulsive behavior
i have a hard time making friends

I had this all my life
as long as my other disability
I feel the need to run

Blurting out answers
having anger in me
severe mood swings
and i dont take pills

I look in the mirror and I see
A girl who looks just like me

But she smiles and I cry
And she's the truth and I'm a lie
She's all together and I'm a mess
She's happy and I'm depressed

But she's doesn't know how I feel
Coz she is fake and I am real

Very beautifully written.
I can kinda relate to this, as I relate to it in a different way. When I look in the mirror, I see a girl with sad eyes filled with shed and unshed tears, who almost cannot bear the burden of life anymore.
When I look at myself, I see a girl with a big smile, who are always happy and insist that she's okay. Yet I know it is fake. But I also know she cannot be anything else, as it would destroy her.
